Operetta "Josephine and Napoleon" in Vorkuta

On October 6 the operetta "Josephine and Napoleon" was shown at the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic.

The plot is as follows: Josephine gets to Napoleon pining on the island of Sacred Elena. Not the well-known empress Josephine, but the simple Corsican girl. And the story of love and treachery, struggle of biases and common sense begins.

For Olga Sosnovskaya this operetta became a premiere. She performed Josephine's part for the first time. Vladimir Yurkovsky acted as Napoleon.

At the end of the evening the actors were given large quantity of bouquets. The performance made great impression on the audience. Here are some of the responses:

Olga Aleksandrovna! I congratulate you with the premiere! It was splendid! A whole sea of emotions! To tell the truth, it was quite unusual to see you in such hooligan image.

Bravo, bravo, bravo and once again bravo! The operetta has put me in cheerful mood! Many thanks for fine performance!

On October 13 this performance will be shown on the stage of the Palace of Culture of Miners in  Vorkuta where the Opera and Ballet Theatre comes with tours.
