Оперетта "Летучая мышь"

Дорогие друзья, в первый день весны 1 марта в театре оперы и балета Республики Коми состоится оперетта "Летучая мышь". В главных ролях на сцене Ольга Сосновская, Анатолий Измалков, Альфия Коротаева и блистательный Владимир Юрковский.

Мастер-класс Ольги Сосновской

Весной 2012 года с 1 по 3 марта в городе Кирове прошел детский вокальный конкурс "Звонкие голоса". Ольгу Сосновскую часто приглашают на детские конкурсы в качестве члена жюри. Не стало исключением и это мероприятие. На конкурсе "Звонкие голоса" Ольга Сосновская выступила в качестве председателя жюри.

Composition of the jury

Chairman of the Jury: Olga Sosnovskaya (Russia, Syktyvkar) – Soprano. Merited Artiste of Russia, People’s Artiste of the Komi Republic, Laureate of the All-Russia and International Vocalists Contests, Laureate of the State Prize of the Komi Republic, Laureate of the I-st Republican Contest «Man of the year» in nomination «Creative person of the year», member of the Union of Concert Figures of the Russian Federation, President of the International Cultural Foundation «Classics and Modernity», soloist of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic.


Sergey P.Markov's vocal school. Graduated from Syktyvkar Musical School (1984), Petrozavodsk Branch of Leningrad  N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (1989), the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (2002) in Moscow (class of the USSR People’s Artiste Z.A.Dolukhanova). Trained in Florence (Italy, 2000) and St.-Petersburg (Mariinsky Theater Academy, 2002).


Conducts active theatrical and solo tour activity both in Russia, and abroad (Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Finland, Tanzania, Zambia, Norway, India, China, Sri Lanka). 3 DVD and 5 CD albums are recorded.


Jury member of numerous international and Russian contests and festivals.

 

Valentina Bryzgalova (Russia, Syktyvkar) – Composer. Member of the Union of Composers of Russia. Teacher of the "College of Arts of the Komi Republic». Author of large orchestral, vocal-symphonic and choral musical compositions, numerous instrumental, vocal and choral musical compositions for children performed at children's musical schools of the Komi Republic, Kazan, Saransk, Moscow, the Kirov region.


Music for piano, represented by a sonata, suites, processings of Komi folk songs, concert pieces, piano ensembles takes special place in her creative activity.


She gave developed by her courses in the Republican College of Arts «Modern harmony», «Modern Soviet music». She was jury member of the festival «Star of Bethlehem», contest «Young talents». Commission member on musical-aesthetic education of children and youth under the Union of Composers of Russia. Board member of the Ministry of Culture of the Komi Republic. Board member of the Union of Composers of the Komi Republic (since 2003).


D.D.Shostakovich Prize Laureate (1990), grant holder of the Head of the Komi Republic (1996, 1997), Laureate of the State Prize of the Komi Republic (1999), awarded with a Certificate of Honour of the Komi Republic (1998), an honorary title «Honoured Worker of the Komi Republic» (2003), Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation (2010).

 

Igor Borko (Ukraine, Kiev) – Tenor. People’s Artist of the Ukraine, bearer of the order of Prince Vladimir of 2nd degree of the Ukrainian Orthodox church. Soloist of the National opera of the Ukraine.


Laureate of the international contests: of E.Destinova (Czechia, 1996) – 2-nd award and Special prize of the Czech radio; of F.Vinjas (Barcelona, Spain, 1997) - Special diploma; opera singers in Marmande (Aquitania, Loet-Garon, France, 1997) - Special prize among tenors; of V.Bellini (Ragusa, Italy, 1999) – 2-nd award and a concert in Carnegie-Hall (the USA);  international tournament of tenors (Poland, 2003) – Grand Prix.
Graduated from Kiev M.Gorky State Teacher Training College (musical faculty) and Kiev Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (1998, class of the USSR People’s Artist, People’s Artist of the Ukraine Konstantin Ognevoy). Took part in: Renata Faltin master class (Higher Musical School, Western Berlin); Forelly Carmen-Forti master class, soloist of La Scala Theatre (Italy).


He began his opera career at the Odessa Opera Theatre, since 2001 – soloist of the Kiev Opera Theatre (National Opera of the Ukraine). Since then - on leading world stages: the National Opera of Romania (Bucharest, 2004, 2005), the “Palma Beach Opera” (the USA, 2006), the National Opera of Japan (Tokyo, 2007), “Shtatts Opera Prague” (Czechia, 2008, 2009), “Seritos Center” (Los-Angeles, the USA, 2009), the “Opera Boston” (“Madzhestik Theatre”, 2006, 2009, 2010), «Baltimore Opera» (the USA, 2009, 2010), the “Grand Opera Vichita” (the USA - 2010, 2011), "Kontsertgebau" (the Netherlands),  "Каre" Theatre (Amsterdam), "Luksor" Theatre (Rotterdam), «Opera  Kluzh» and "Opera-Konstantsa" (Romania). Theatres of Poland, Russia, the Ukraine, Moldova. Made concert tours to the USA, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Japan, China, Austria, Hungary, Canada, Romania, Poland, Russia and other countries.


In his repertoire are: J.Verdi - "Requiem", "Traviata" (Alfred), "Rigoletto" (Duke); J.Puccini - "Bohemia" (Rudolf), "Madam Batterfly" (Pinkerton); Z.Bize - «Searchers of pearls» (Nadir); G.Donicetti - «Luchia de Lammermur» (Edgar); A.Borodin - "Prince Igor" (Vladimir Igorevich); M.Musorgsky - "Boris Godunov" (“God’s fool”); R.Strauss - «Cavalier of roses» (Italian singer); S.Guno - "Faust" (Faust) and many others.

 

Bunder Olga Pavlovna (Estonia, Tallinn) – Born in St.-Petersburg. Received her music education in Tartu (Estonia). Worked at the “Vanemuine” Theatre for 26 years (Tartu). In parallel with her work at the theatre she graduated from Tartu State University, Faculty of Russian Language and Literature. In 1993 she left theatre and till 1995 worked as adviser on the problems of culture in the Embassy of Estonia in Moscow. From that time cooperation and creative relations with the Finno-Ugric region, especially with the Komi Republic were established. Since 1996 till 1999 - adviser of the Ministry of Culture of Estonia for national cultures, Contact person of Section of National Minorities at the Council of Europe.


In 1997 she created Club of Russian Romance and in 1998 at the Club - «Small opera» children's theatre in Tallin. Art director of the Club and the theatre.


Founder, chairman of the Organizing Committee and the Jury of the International Izabella Yuryeva Old-Time Russian Romance Contest. Founder and chairman of the Jury of the Youth International Academic Vocal Contest in Kohtla-Jarve (Estonia). Participated in work of jury of the international contests in Estonia, Poland (Karpach), Lithuania (Kaunas), II World Delfiisky games (Saratov). Honourary citizen of Tallinn.


Having finished her theatrical career, she conducts active concert activity in Estonia and abroad (Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Komi, Mari-El, Udmurtia, Finland, France, Italy, Germany).

 

Doroteya Galli (Switzerland, Zurich) – Scientific expert. Studied in a class of violoncello and did well in her examination concert at Andre Navarra in Detmolde. She has long-term experience with the orchestra of Zurich Concert Hall and the Cologne Chamber Orchestra.
She studied vocal at Elza Kavelti, Karla Kasteljani and Elizabeth Shwarzkopf. At the International Opera Studio in Zurich she became prize-winner of the International Singers Contests in Geneva.


It was followed by invitation to work and tour on stages of Zurich, Gelsenkirchen, Lucerne, Mannheim, Düsseldorf, Karlsrue, Hajdelberg, Amsterdam first as mezzo-soprano, then as lyrical and young drama soprano. Simultaneously she included all major arias in her concert program. Many students till now prepare for educational and examination concerts using numerous radio-recordings. Besides she prepares many singers for defense of their diplomas. Twelve years she was member of the city musical commission, in particular, she was responsible for vocal concerts.
Seven years she was manager of chorus in Djubendorf and every other possible choral projects. She is scientific expert in musical higher educational institutions of Zurich, simultaneously state expert on all instruments, jury member of the International Singers Contest. She is regularly invited to the conservatory of St.-Petersburg to give master classes to singers. She knows Russian, freely speaks French, Italian and English.

 

Sergey Zaitsev (Russia, Moscow) – Tenor. Honoured Artist of Russia. Grand Prix Laureate of the International Izabella Yuryeva Old-Time Russian Romance Contest  (Tallinn, 2004).


Graduated from Novosibirsk State Conservatory (1989), State Institute of Theatrical Art (GITIS, 1994). Soloist of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic (1989-1991). Soloist of Bregensky Opera Festival in Austria (2001-2004). Soloist of the Moscow Man's Chamber Chorus. Art director of «Solar house» children's musical theatre. As an invited soloist he co-operates with V.I.Fedoseev Moscow State Symphonic Orchestra. Toured to Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy.

 

Vasily Svyatkin (Russia, Samara) – Bass. Honoured Artist of Russia. Laureate of the international contests. Graduated from Kuibyshev Teacher Training College, Faculty of History, some years he worked as teacher, and subsequently school director. Being soloist of the Novokuibyshev Municipal Choral Choir "Aura", in 1993 he was invited as soloist to the Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre. His repertoire includes: Аleko (“Aleko” by S.V.Rakhmaninov), Amonasro ("Aida" by J.Verdi), Zbigneva ("The Terrible court yard"  by S.Monyushko), Prince Igor ("Prince Igor" by А.P.Borodin), Pretora, Tigellina ("Servilia" by N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov), Stefano ("Viva la mum!" by G.Donicetti), Shonara ("Bohemia" by J.Puccini), Escamilio ("Carmen" by G.Bize), and also S.Rahmaninov's romances. He tours much to cities of Russia and abroad. Since 2005 he closely co-operates with the Moscow «New Opera» Theatre. Since 2006 he is in the cast of the theatre.

 

Tatiana Smelkova (Russia, St.-Petersburg) – Professor. Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation. Honourary Worker of Higher Vocational Training of the Russian Federation. Member of the Union of Concert Figures of the Russian Federation. Head of Chair of Solo Singing of the Faculty of Music of A.I.Gertsen Russian State Pedagogical University. Art director of B.T.Shtokolov International Vocalists Contest
Graduated from N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad state conservatory (1978). For more than 30 years she has been working with children's voices.


She regularly gives lessons-lectures and master classes for teachers of vocal and choral disciplines on the theme «Problem of development of children's voice», gives lectures and seminars on methodology and technique of teaching vocal.


She prepared 30 laureates of international contests and festivals. Graduates of vocal class work at university chair, sing in Mariinsky, Mikhailovsky and Petrozavodsk theatres.


She conducts concert activity, prepared by her concerts took place on various stages of St.-Petersburg and the region, and also abroad. The program of concerts includes musical compositions of Russian and foreign composers. She is jury member of numerous international contests and festivals.

Sosnovskaya contest

R E G U L A T I O N S

For the XI Olga Sosnovskaya Young Vocalists Contest
Merited Artiste of Russia, People's Artiste of the Komi Republic,
Laureate of the State Prize of the Komi Republic,
Laureate of the All-Russian and International Vocalists Contest,
soloist of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Komi Republic.

 

The Contest is incorporated in the Association of Music Contests of Russia.

 

Dates: November 1-6, 2012.
Contest venue: School of Arts under the Head of the Komi Republic, Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, Russia.

I. The Contest Purpose:


- Propagation of classical vocal art;
- Revealing, education and professional-artistic development of young talented singers (vocalists);
- Interaction, support and improvement of professional skill, exchange of experience and information of teachers, vocalists, educational institutions of the Komi Republic, Russia and foreign countries;
- Assistance in perspective training, development and advancement of contestants;
- Attraction of patrons of the arts to support, education and development of musical culture among children and youth.

 

II. The Contest Terms:


The Contest is held once in two years. Young vocalists having initial vocal training, in 4 age groups are allowed to participate.
Age of participants:


Younger age group - 9-11
1st average age group - 12-14
2nd average age group - 15-17
Senior age group - 18-20 (inclusive for the moment of registration).


1. Competitive listenings are public and consist of 2 rounds.
2. The sequence of appearances is established by sortition and remains till the end of the Contest.
3. The estimation of appearances of participants is made by 10 ball system.
4. Final determination of places and prizes is done taking into account the results of the first and second rounds.
5. If and when at count of balls or when voting there exists the equal amount of votes "for" and "against", the vote of the chairman is final. Olga Sosnovskaya is Constant Chairman of the Contest Jury, in her absence the Chairman of the Contest Jury is appointed by the Organizing Committee.
6. The estimation of a jury member whose pupil takes part in the contest, is not taken into account at count of balls.
7. Within the established bonus fund the Jury has the right:


a) To award not all prizes;
b) To divide monetary awards (except Grand prix) between winners.
c) To establish special prizes and the title of laureate.


8. Jury decisions are final and are not subject to reconsideration.
9. Results of the Contest are announced not later than the day of the final Gala concert of the Contest.
10. Each participant should have his (her) concertmaster. If required, the Organizing Committee gives concertmaster for additional payment. The schedule of rehearsals as agreed. The music material should be sent together with the application form for participation in the Contest with a mark «+Music material» (music, written by hand, is not accepted).
11. Participants define sequence of the performed musical compositions themselves.
12. The performance of the contest program under phonogram is not allowed.
13. The participants who have passed to the II-nd round, are obliged gratis to take part in the final Gala concert of the Contest, as well as in additional 2nd concert if approved by the Organizing Committee.
14. The Organizing Committee has the right for TV and radio broadcasting of listenings and concerts of the Contest, make audio and video recordings with their further commercial distribution without the additional fee to contest participants.
15. The sponsors supporting separate participants of the Contest, have the right to advertising in booklets and prospectuses of the Contest, as well as for awarding their own prizes.
16. The winners of Grand prix and laureates of the First Prize of the Contest of last years have the right to participation in the next contest only on condition of their participation in another age category.

 

III. Competitive requirements on the Program of Appearances

Time of performance: no more than 12 minutes


I round:


Younger age group (9-11):


folk song accompanied by a piano or "a capella";
Musical composition by choice.

 

1st average age group (12-14):


folk song accompanied by a piano or "a capella";
Aria, arietta, madrigal, canzone of XVI-XVIII century;
Musical composition by choice.

 

2nd average age group (15-17):


folk song accompanied by a piano or "a capella";
Aria, аrietta, madrigal, canzone of XVI-XVIII century;
Romance of the Russian composer.

 

Senior age group (18-20):


folk song "a capella";
aria of XVI-XVIII century;
romance of the Russian composer.

 

II round:


Younger age group (9-11):
song or romance (Mozart, Schubert, Vekerlen, Haydn, Grieg, Brams, Beethoven, Glinka, Tchaikowsky, Bulahov, Gurilev, Varlamov, etc.);
Musical composition by choice.

 

1st average age group (12-14):


folk song accompanied by a piano;
song or romance (Mozart, Schubert, Vekerlen, Haydn, Grieg, Brams, Beethoven, Glinka, Tchaikowsky, Bulahov, Gurilev, Varlamov, etc.);
Musical composition by choice.

 

2nd average age group (15-17):


aria of the Russian or foreign composer;
romance of the foreign composer;
Musical composition by choice.

 

Senior age group (18-20):


aria from an opera of the Russian or foreign composer;
romance of the foreign composer;
Musical composition of composer of XX-XXI century

 

The performance of the program in language of the original is advisable.
Musical compositions performed in the 1 round, cannot repeatedly be performed in the 2 round.
It is recommended, that the choice of musical compositions correspond to the age of participants (complexity, character, texts).

 

IV. THE PRIZE FUND


"GRAND PRIX" - 45.000 roubles.


Younger age group (9-11)


first prize and the title of laureate 11.000 roubles.
second prize and the title of laureate 7.000 roubles.
third prize and the title of laureate 5.000 roubles.

 

1st average age group (12-14)


first prize and the title of laureate 14.000 roubles.
second prize and the title of laureate 10.000 roubles.
third prize and the title of laureate 7.000 roubles.

 

2nd average age group (15-17)


first prize and the title of laureate 17.000 roubles.
second prize and the title of laureate 12.000 roubles.
third prize and the title of laureate 8.000 roubles.

 

Senior age group (18-20)


first prize and the title of laureate 25.000 roubles.
second prize and the title of laureate 20.000 roubles.
third prize and the title of laureate 15.000 roubles.

 

Special diplomas and monetary awards:

 

Prize to the teacher of "GRAND PRIX" owner 20.000 roubles.
Prize to the best concertmaster 7.000 roubles.
Prize of spectator's sympathy
Prize for the best performance of the musical composition of the Komi Republic composer

 

All other participants are conferred diplomas for participation in the Contest.
"Grand prix" of the Contest and «Olga Sosnovskaya Prize» is conferred to a single participant recognized as the best performer.
Income tax is collected from all monetary awards.

 

V. The Terms for Participation in the Contest:


For participation in the contest you are to send to the Organizing Committee before October 1, 2012:
a) The filled in application form (name, patronymic, surname; date of birth, age group, educational institution, teacher, home address, contact phone, fax, E-mail, the program on rounds, name, patronymic, surname of the concertmaster, his (her) address and phone with a city code);
b) Passport or birth certificate copy;
c) Colour photo 10*15;
d) Brief creative biography (educational institution, teacher, participation in contests, master classes, etc.)

 

The admission fee is:


- before October 1 - 900 roubles.
- before November 1 - 1500 roubles.

 

At payment of admission fee by non-cash transfer, bank remittance, the receipt on payment (original) is to be shown during registration.
In case of non-participation in the contest (for any reasons), the documents and admission fee are not given back.
Payment of admission fee by bank remittance or cash in the day of arrival during registration time in the city of Syktyvkar, is the acknowledgement and acceptance by the contestant of the terms and conditions of the given REGULATIONS.

Purpose of Payment - an admission fee of the contestant (name, patronymic, surname) for participation in the XI International "Olga Sosnovskaya Young Vocalists Contest".

VI. Additional information. Dates.


The Contest is held in dates established by the Organizing Committee, it being held on the base of the «School of Arts under the Head of the Komi Republic», address: 28, Pechorskaya str., Syktyvkar.

The schedule of competitive days:


October 31 - arrival of participants of the contest.
November 1 - sortition, Ceremonial Opening of the Contest and concert with participation of the Jury members and guests.
November 2, 3, 4 - 1, 2 rounds, competitive listenings.
November 5 - announcement and discussion of results of the Contest, Press conference, master classes, excursions.
November 6 - Gala concert of the winners of the Contest, Closing Ceremony.
November 7 - departure of contest participants.

Music material of the Komi Republic composers can be sent on preliminary demand and coordination. Complete list of musical compositions performed by participants in previous years can be found on http://www.vocal.parma.ru.

 

Accommodation and meals for the contestants and accompanying persons - Hotel complex of the School of Arts under the Head of the Komi Republic, its address: 28, Pechorskaya str., Syktyvkar. Cost of accommodation a day ~600 roubles. Cost of meals (3 times a day) ~300 roubles (cost of accommodation and meals can be changed). Inquiries by phone: 8(8212) 22-20-71, 22-29-03.

 

Payment for accommodation and meals is made by participants on the day of arrival (in the contest application form you should specify reservation of meals and accommodation).

 

IMPORTANT! The Organizing Committee will meet competitors at the railway station. Information on arrival (route, date and arrival time, quantity of people), demand for hotel reservations, contact phone should be sent to the Organizing Committee beforehand, not later than three days prior to arrival.

 

Representatives of mass-media, organizations and establishments, interested persons, sponsors can take part in the Contest as Contest Partners.

Liebe Freunde! Am 19. Dezember 2012 wurde das Benefiz von der Primadonna des Opern - und Balletttheater Olga Sosnovskaja. Viele Freunde und Kollegen kamen um Olga dazu zu gratulieren.
